Diving and Snorkeling
Come and play in the “Aquarium
of the World”. Experience the underwater beauty of
the Sea of Cortez, one of the world’s richest marine ecosystems. This
prolific fish, invertebrate and marine mammal habitat provides
world famous incredible opportunities for snorkeling, diving,
and underwater photography.
La Ventana is centrally located a mere 8.5 miles across the channel from the
fantastic diving of Cerralvo Island. Cerralvo is the southernmost island
in the Cortez and offers divers of all skill levels a chance to explore its pristine
reefs, pinnacles, bays, and beaches and the incredible marine life that inhabits
them. In addition to Cerralvo, the local coast near La Ventana offers many
incredible sites that are a short panga or van ride away. The beach is a great
introductory training site for certification classes and snorkeling. La Ventana
is the perfect base camp for snorkeling and SCUBA adventure, education, and fun.
